Our Team

Our team exceeds the requirements of professional supervised visitation providers. 

We understand that this may be a tough time for you and your family, so our goal is to try

and support and facilitate your access and visitation with your child(ren), when appropriate. 

We regularly participate in professional growth training, have knowledge and direct experience

dealing with parental alienation cases and our unmatched credentials are available upon request. 

We’re committed to enforcing the frequency and duration of visitation w/o bias or prejudice. 

Your family will receive services with an emphasis on safety and will be treated with respect.

Executive Director

Lilly Maggiolo, M.S.

     Lilly Maggiolo is the Executive Director of Ascending Families, LLC dba Visit and Exchange Solutions (VES).  Lilly has over two decades of experience working with families who have open cases in family, dependency, and probate court.

     Lilly holds an M.S. from SJSU, is a professional provider of in-person and virtual supervised visitation as well as exchange services.  Lilly exceeds all of the requirements of 5.20 standards for professional providers, is bi-lingual in Spanish, trained as a DV and child advocate.  VES’s team serves South Santa Clara, San Benito, Monterey, and Santa Cruz Counties since 2006.

     VES’s biggest accomplishments to date include serving as the secretary for the California Association of Supervised Visitation Services Providers (CASVSP), collaborating with the Judicial Counsel and CASVSP on a special project, training CA providers in 5.20 Stds report writing compliance, contracting with DFCS to provide services for non-reunifying parents, and co-founding Family Matters SBC a 501c3 organization.  The Family Time Accountability Program (FTAP) facilitates services to inmates at the SBC Jail which include parenting education and supervised visitation.  Lilly is also a Supervised Visitation Network (SVN) Member, and a former member of Women's Club of Hollister.

Visitation Monitor

Erica Bueno

     Erica Bueno is a professional monitor with Ascending Families, LLC. Erica has over seven years of experience working with families who have open cases in family, dependency, and probate court. She has over eight years of direct experience in Autistic classroom settings and working one on one with individual verbal and non-verbal students.
     Erica studied psychology at CSUMB. She’s held child caregiver roles, been an authorized transporter for special needs minors, and a tutor for school age children. Erica grew up in Santa Clara County and enjoys concerts and spending time with her family.
     She exceeds all the requirements for professional providers of supervised visitation and is Trustline registered. Erica possesses certificates of completion in child development, report writing, child abuse reporting, and is CPR certified too. She is passionate about working with special needs children and their families.

Visitation Monitor

Ileana Gadea

      Ileana Gadea is a highly dedicated professional with over 18 years of experience in administration and customer service, including 8 years in a managerial capacity. She transitioned into the role of a visitation monitor with a wealth of expertise in overseeing and managing supervised visitation and exchange services. She is certified in Parenting After Separation (PAS), adheres to the Standards 5.20 of the California Association of Supervised Visitation Service Providers (CASVSP), and possesses in-depth knowledge of supervised visitation and exchange services related to child abuse and neglect in collaboration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). Ileana is deeply committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for families.

     Bilingual and culturally sensitive, Ileana excels at fostering effective communication and providing support across diverse communities.  Outside of her professional endeavors, Ileana is passionate about family time, exploring new destinations, and engaging in creative activities such as drawing, reading, painting, and fostering animals. Known for her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, Ileana applies these attributes in both her professional and personal life. A true animal advocate, she is especially dedicated to saving and improving the lives of animals.

Visitation Monitor

Julyssa Medrano

     Julyssa Medrano has over 5 years of experience working in the education field serving students and families. Julyssa studies Criminal Justice at SJSU. In her past roles, she’s enjoyed being a recreation leader and coordinator, a caregiver with a focus on special needs students. Julyssa is bi-lingual in Spanish, possesses certificates in CPR, First Aid, Fundamentals of HealthCare and Social Care, Fundamentals of Domestic Violence, and is a Mandated Reporter. She has also completed standard 5.20 training and is a professional supervised visitation monitor. Julyssa grew up in California and explores new places, hiking, and art media in her spare time. She has a great passion for working with children and education as well as giving back to the community.

Jessica Barrera Luna

Visitation Monitor

With over five years of experience in social work, Jessica is a dedicated and skilled Supervised Visitation Monitor, offering a strong background in casework, program coordination, and client advocacy. Starting their career as an Intake & Eligibility Worker, Jessica was promoted to Casework, where they played a key role in the development and implementation of critical programs supporting vulnerable populations.

Throughout their career, Jessica has successfully led and co-led low-income assistance programs and projects, working to empower individuals and families in need. Their expertise extends beyond social work into accounting, having served as an Interim Accounting Specialist for one year, providing valuable insights into program budgeting and financial management. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Jessica is committed to providing equitable services to diverse communities. They have also completed all requirements for the 5.20 Standards for Professional Providers, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards.

Jessica’s passion for social justice, combined with their broad skill set and commitment to service, drives their continuous efforts to make a meaningful impact in their community.
