Our Team
Our team exceeds the requirements of professional supervised visitation providers.
We understand that this may be a tough time for you and your family, so our goal is to try
and support and facilitate your access and visitation with your child(ren), when appropriate.
We regularly participate in professional growth training, have knowledge and direct experience
dealing with parental alienation cases and our unmatched credentials are available upon request.
We’re committed to enforcing the frequency and duration of visitation w/o bias or prejudice.
Your family will receive services with an emphasis on safety and will be treated with respect.
Executive Director
Lilly Maggiolo, M.S.
Lilly Maggiolo is the Executive Director of Ascending Families dba Visit and Exchange Solutions (VES). Lilly has over two decades of experience working with families who have open cases in family, dependency, and probate court.
Lilly holds an M.S. from SJSU, is a professional provider of in-person and virtual supervised visitation as well as exchange services. Lilly exceeds all of the requirements of 5.20 standards for professional providers, is bi-lingual in Spanish, trained as a DV and child advocate. VES’s team serves South Santa Clara, San Benito, Monterey, and Santa Cruz Counties since 2006.
VES’s biggest accomplishments to date include being an active California Association of Supervised Visitation Services Providers board member, collaborating with the Judicial Counsel and CASVSP on a special project, contracting with DFCS to provide services for non-reunifying parents, and co-founding Family Matters SBC a 501c3 organization. The Family Time Accountability Program (FTAP) facilitates services to inmates at the SBC Jail. Lilly is also a member of Women's Club of Hollister.

Erica Bueno
Erica Bueno is a professional monitor with Ascending Families, LLC. Erica has over seven years of experience working with families who have open cases in family, dependency, and probate court. She has over eight years of direct experience in Autistic classroom settings and working one on one with individual verbal and non-verbal students.
Erica studied psychology at CSUMB. She’s held child caregiver roles, been an authorized transporter for special needs minors, and a tutor for school age children. Erica grew up in Santa Clara County and enjoys concerts and spending time with her family.
She exceeds all the requirements for professional providers of supervised visitation and is Trustline registered. Erica possesses certificates of completion in child development, report writing, child abuse reporting, and is CPR certified too. She is passionate about working with special needs children and their families.
Visitation Monitor
Cristina Gomez-Hernandez
Cristina Gomez-Hernandez is a supervised visitation monitor. Her educational path led her to graduate from CSU Monterey Bay with an interdisciplinary Degree that focused on Public Health and Social Work. During her studies, Cristina interned with the Mandell Gisnet Center for Conflict Management and completed training as a court certified mediator. In the last 8 years, Cristina has worked with children, youth, and families to provide Family Support Services, coordinate programs, and connect families to resources as they work through times of transition and stress. She worked as an Intervention Services Director at First 5 and oversaw the Family Resource Center. Cristina is a member of the Association of Faith Communities of Santa Cruz and manages AFC's Safe Spaces Program. Cristina has extensive training and experience in group facilitation that promotes positive parenting, youth leadership, and culturally based healing and continues her journey with Ascending Families, LLC.

Julyssa Medrano
Julyssa Medrano has over 5 years of experience working in the education field serving students and families. Julyssa studies Criminal Justice at SJSU. In her past roles, she’s enjoyed being a recreation leader and coordinator, a caregiver with a focus on special needs students. Julyssa is bi-lingual in Spanish, possesses certificates in CPR, First Aid, Fundamentals of HealthCare and Social Care, Fundamentals of Domestic Violence, and is a Mandated Reporter. She has also completed standard 5.20 training and is a professional supervised visitation monitor. Julyssa grew up in California and explores new places, hiking, and art media in her spare time. She has a great passion for working with children and education as well as giving back to the community.

Tammy Peralta
Tammy Peralta is renowned for a patient, calm, and caring nature. With a deep passion for children's advocacy and family rehabilitation, she’s committed to neutrally supporting families. Tammy has extensive experience. Her past accomplishments include working at the San Jose Mission Street Recovery Station in collaboration with the Re-entry Criminal Justice program. She’s a certified Alcohol and Drug Studies peer mentor and provides support, guidance, and encouragement to the most vulnerable community members. She has a gift for connecting families to essential resources.
In addition, Tammy served as a facilitator for healthy relationships and boundaries. Tammy is trained in Families in Conflict, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse Reporting Laws, Child Development, Behavioral Health, and Crisis Intervention and Safety. She is also proficient in conflict resolution and verbal de-escalation techniques. Tammy is dedicated to helping families heal, play, and love, one family at a time.
