Founded in 2006 as Visit and Exchange Solutions, our organization stepped in to fill a crucial gap when a local agency discontinued its supervised visitation services, leaving many families without viable local options. Our founder, Lilly Maggiolo, driven by a profound sense of justice and compassion, established Ascending Families to ensure that no family would have to endure undue hardship to maintain their vital connections.

   Over the years, Ascending Families has achieved significant milestones, including collaborations with the Judicial Council and CASVSP, partnerships with DFCS to aid non-reunifying parents, and the successful launch of Family Matters, a dedicated 501(c)(3) entity. Lilly, with over two decades of experience in various court-related family services, has been at the forefront, leading our team with her expertise, passion, and unwavering commitment to child safety and family integrity.

  Today, Ascending Families is home to a diverse team of specialists, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to our mission—from expertise in special needs and bilingual communication to deep knowledge in dependency and criminal court cases. Our collective goal is to offer unparalleled service, uphold the safety and well-being of children, and provide peace of mind to all families we serve.
